Palo Alto: Place of High Trees and High Achievement

On my visit to Stanford University, I had sightseeing first at Palo Alto. I like the place because it is classy especially with the magnificently designed buildings which dot its landscape.

One recognizable park is the Elinor Cogswell Plaza. It is just a small park with tall trees.

An interesting landmark is the Stanford Theater which offers interesting movies produced between 1910 and 1970. As its website stated, it "is dedicated to bringing back the authentic movie-going experience of Hollywood's Golden Age," a time when the "magic of the movies depends on a larger-than-life image and the shared reactions of a large audience."

There are many cafes and restaurants in the area, the most notable are those located along University Avenue. The restaurants there serve foods from various countries. But this one captured my attention.

I was also very fortunate to have been able to visit the office of Mr. Dado Banatao, the founder of Tallwood Venture Capital. I was not able to meet him personally but his Executive Assistant welcomed me.

The ambiance of Palo Alto gives one a feeling that the place is affluent and that it is not only a place of high trees but also a place of high achievement.
