On visiting various places, you'll be offered an opportunity to take a picture of yourself in their local costume. I got two of those opportunities when I visited Korea and Malaysia.
In this picture, I was wearing a hanbok, a traditional Korean costume. |
I'm wearing here baju melayu, a Malay costume. |
I haven't been to India, but I tried the kurta of my Indian friend after our Diwali celebration at the Asian Institute of Management.
Wearing the costumes of countries I visited gave me an extraordinary feeling of belonging to that culture. It helped me understand the local psyche and generally appreciate cultural diversity.
