The autograph of Prof. Kishore Mahbubani on my book.

In this book, Prof. Mahbubani assessed the status quo of the world. As he wrote, the world progressed towards a much better civilization considering various aspects such as relative peace with fewer deaths due to interstate wars, declining poverty numbers, emergence of robust middle class and increasing interconnectedness in the world.
In view of the current state of the world, he pointed out its challenges as well as its contradictions. He cited the economic rivalry between the US and China and that both sides should tackle it in a way where there will be peaceful collaborative shift in global power. Furthermore, he pointed out the dynamics between Islam and the West which he described as entropic. As such he advised a two-state solution to Arab-Israeli conflict, though this is not panacea. Lastly, he discussed his concerns on climate change which would entail some sacrifice but the resulting burden should be divided equitably.
The book also provided insights on managing the future with China's rising economic supremacy over the US. He suggested that US should strengthen international institutions which promotes its values and that it should ensure a level playing field. He also said that China's leaders are highly pragmatic and rational that they will view a rule-based international architecture favorable.
