For those aspiring to get into Harvard Business School for MBA, this book is for you. The book provides 65 sample essays that passed through the stringent scrutiny of Harvard's admissions officers.
The book also provides analysis of the essays and provides insights on what HBS is looking for in a student.
It contains 65 essays but the lessons are many. Among the lessons I got there which I think quite transformative are as follows;
  • The desire for learning
  • The will to transcend beyond limitation
  • The importance of self-reflection
  • Exuding unwavering ambition
  • Concern for the humanity at large
Overall, this books is helpful for anyone who want to pursue MBA be it at Stanford, Sloan, Haas, Kellogg, Wharton, etc. But it only shows us one thing, there are many ways to exude differentiation and it is left to our style how we make it captivating.
