Crossing Through the Straits

A night time adventure
From the island of Singapore
Crossing through Johore
A dignified Malay shore.

A stone throw away,
A bustling metropolis nay,
Where interracial mix lay,
And nobility stay.

Selat Johore so calm,
Asia’s holding palm,
Placid in Deity’s balm,
Prayer of thankful Psalm.

The poem is about my night time adventure in going to KL to visit my friend Sir Rolly Sulit. I went to KL via train from Johore with Hoon Tien Yuen, my Malaysian officemate at JGC Singapore Pte. Ltd.

With Sir Rolly Sulit and his wife at the Bridge of the Petronas Tower.
